What’s included on this page: This page lists successes in the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign by academic and educational organisations, and successes in the boycott of Israeli academic institutions complicit in the abuse of the human rights of Palestinians. These include unions that have academics and education workers as members, and umbrella trade union organisations which include education unions among their member unions. The academic boycott guidelines as set out by the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) are listed here. The successes listed on this page do not include cases where a majority of votes in a student union or trade union have voted in favour of supporting the boycott but where unions rules stipulate that more than a simple majority is necessary for a resolution to pass (for example, votes at the University of Toledo and San Diego State University in 2015). Likewise votes in favour of BDS actions but which do not reach a minimum quorum or total votes (for example the 2011 vote at Edinburgh University and in 2011 at DePaul University) are also not included. Also note that the successes in the academic boycott on this page are in addition to support from organisations and individuals for the broader Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign. The Palestinian Boycott National Committee has an excellent page on key successes in the BDS campaign.
